Tickets: $20 in advance / $25 at the door (Lowell Arts Members receive 20% discount)

Lowell Arts at Sound Check is a new music series brought to you by Lowell Arts. The series will feature a mix of local favorites and award-winning artists, presented at Sound Check, a venue in downtown Lowell designed to provide an intimate listening experience for music enthusiasts. Sound Check features an inviting aesthetic with seating for up to 100, sound deadening stage curtains to enhance sound clarity, concessions, accessible entry, and plenty of free parking.

Sammie Hershock
Sammie Hershock is a Michigan-based singer songwriter with songs that catch your ear and grab you by the soul. Since coming onto the songwriter’s scene in mid-2021, Sammie has pulled people into her sphere quickly with the unique depth of her original songs.

Kylee Phillips
Kylee Phillips is a Michigan-native vocalist and songwriter of deeply self-exposing pop music. Armed with an arresting, emotive, laser-focused voice, and an unrivaled ear for hooks and melodic contour, Phillips has garnered cult-like acclaim in the Midwest and beyond since her explosive debut EP Long Time Coming. The title is strangely apt, as Phillips was a beloved hidden gem in the Detroit scene for over a decade before materializing as a fresh face and urgent new presence in the indie/pop world.

Chris DuPont is a Michigan native tunesmith, endlessly reimagining the indie/folk paradigm. With an unmistakable ethereal tenor, diverse guitar work, and a taste for the cinematic, DuPont steers the classic eloquence and lyricism of 70’s folk/Americana into the iridescent haze of dream pop.

Spencer LaJoye
Spencer LaJoye (luh-JOY) is a coast-to-coast singer/songwriter from the Midwest making queer indie folk music for everyone. The 2021 Kerrville Songwriting Competition winner and 2024 Songwriter Serenade winner spins crystalline vocals through a loop pedal while strumming an acoustic guitar in charming, banter-heavy performances that keep audiences laughing one moment and weeping the next.
